I managed to be a little ahead of the game and unsubscribed from a number of email lists in one account. It's now time to do the other. It does make a difference not being swamped by emails I'm not interested in.
The second account has been cleared too. Some companies make it extremely difficult to find the 'unsubscribe' button. For two, I had to search the page for the words. One that I rather liked gave the unsubscribe option first, but also offered to pause emails for 1 week, 1 month or 3 months. I could see those choices being very useful to some.
