Whilst on the ferry, I bumped into a man wearing a beautiful Norwegian sweater.
A quick "Oh, your sweater is beautiful!" Followed by I'd love to make one for my husband. May I take a photograph?" yielded good results. I must come across as a non-threatening, but slightly crazy crafter.
