Cherry Flapjacks

Ingredients
250g butter
250g soft brown sugar
175g golden syrup
425g oats
200g glace cherries
100g candied peel

Method
Heat oven to 180C, and line a 20 x 30cm baking tin. Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a large pan over a medium heat. Once melted, stir in the oats, coating them well. Add the cherries and peel, thoroughly mixing them in.

Bake for 30 mins, then remove from the oven and allow to cool a little before slicing into pieces. Leave to cool fully before lifting them from the baking tin.

Notes
I didn't have soft brown sugar. 100g of dark brown sugar, and 150g of castor sugar was used instead.

The Beloved believes more fruit can be added to this for greater levels of 'yum'.
