Cast off in lace bind off. Break off yarn.

Return to the 16sts on the spare yarn. Knit 5 rounds of (k1, p1), and then cast off in lace bind off.

Weave in the ends, using the one at the thumb to sew closed the hole.

Generally two mittens are required.
